My name is Hetty van Soest and together with my son Yannic, I have a small cattery in Veenendaal, in the middle of the country, in the province Utrecht. A beautiful setting near the Veluwe and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug.

We breed an average of 2 litters of fantastic Siamese / Oriental Shorthair kittens a year. 'Our main goal is not only to have the most beautiful kittens. Their character and health are top priorities too.

It is a great experience for us each time a litter is born.
The devotion of the mother and the whole group, when the kittens get older and explore the house is so much fun to watch.
Socializing the kittens in the right way is extremely important to us. When the kittens are ready, they can freely explore our house.

We enjoy watching their hilarious antics. With every litter,
we just fall in love with all of them!
We always have a difficult time when they go to their new family.
Continued contact with their new family, through emails with picture attachments, is the only reason we can do it.

Why Siamese and Oriental Shorthair Breeds?

I grew up having cats in the house. Those cats were not pure breds.
When I started my own household, I got my first purebred: a Persian.
For a few years, I had a cattery with this breed.
I stopped breeding Persions after the birth of my son. The Persians got older and passed away, but I have still have one; she is now 16 years old.

A few years ago, I started exploring other breeds. I was looking for a cat with a special character, and I found it in my first Siamese, Milou, a Lilac Point. This lady does not have a pedigree chart.

Immediately I fell totally in love with this breed. This lady walked through our house with such enormous grace.
She is tremendously affectionate, and always up for a chat!
Also, the breed is incredibly intelligent.
She has had a few litters in our house, but she has been sterilized now.
With this breed, you can never have enough; it becomes an addiction.
So, then came Cloey, a Oriental Shorthair Havana, with a pedigree chart.
You can see her little ones in the picture book on my website.

From this litter we kept a kitten, Adora, a Havana Oriental Shorthair Tortie, and so it all started.

We hope you enjoy our website.
